This is a 2 metre x 1.7 metre (6.5' x 5.5') cloth backed map showing Sandwich to Deal, possibly a railway map. It must be about 1885 as it was found with a much earlier map but this one shows the railway from Deal to Dover (1881).
The map looks faint from a distance but it is because the lines are so fine. Difficult to photograph successfully due to enormous sixe and folds. The locations I found on the map are Deal, Sandwich Great Mongeham, Sholden (Shoulden), Hacklinge, Ham, Finglesham, Northbourne, Worth Minnix, Statenborough, St Clement, St Peter, River Stour.
