Reproductions were made light to save cast iron.This frog a a depression in the underside which makes it one of the older ones. The oldest frogs were heavy becuase they were using up iron at the end of a pour. The paint on the frog is an old green color paint that has aged well and shows some cast iron through where the paint has worn. The paint has a few wear.
