This is a highly collectible, hard to find, rare first edition of The Cynic's Word Book. And it is in fabulous condition.
It's a very funny and humorous read. Ambrose Bierce was way ahead of his time and a prolific witty author. Overall, this antique book is in very good condition.
Its binding is tight, its pages are clean and there are not tears that I can find. Some pages have very light discoloration, most noticeable on the first two blank pages. Its corners are bumped slightly and the spine has minimal wear with the exception of a little wear along the ends. The cover is very cool with a gorgeous heavy embossed floral design.
The covers are a deep olive green with persimmon color lettering and accents. The spine is decorated with three flailing leaves. Doubleday, Page & Company, October, 1906. First edition, very good, 233 pages. Deckled pages, very cool cover design and even better content.
