Antique Marble Safety Axe Hatchet GLADESTONE MI. USA Rare Old Marble's 1898.

This is the second type 1898 which weighed more than the first. If you look up examples you can see the little differences in the metal handle between the two. They only made this one and the first style from 1898 to 1902.

As you can see this hatchet has seen better days and is well used. The blade gaurs is half broke (part that covers the edge is missing,) also the one scale is completly gone but the one that is still there, with the iconic dog chasing the rabbit, is in really good shape still.

Would be an easy restoration project for someone who wants to do that or you can look for original replacement parts on here to make it back to how it was.
